Active Bystander Training

Free

Join us on 1st September from 10am-1pm in person at the GCVS office.

About this event

Join Proud Futures for practical, scenario-based Active Bystander Training designed to help teams respond to harm with courage, care, compassion, and shared responsibility. Together we’ll build confidence to notice harm early, choose safe, role-appropriate ways to step in, and follow through with meaningful support afterwards.

This interactive session is especially useful for organisations navigating microaggressions and everyday harm, as well as more overt incidents. We aim to provide supportive responses that are clearer, safer, more consistent, and less isolating for the person impacted.

Participants will leave with practical tools, shared language, and real-world practice to help create the conditions for learning, accountability, and repair.

Who is this for?

This training is offered to GCVS member organisations, and we’ll build on the shared experience in the room.
