Become a member of GCVS and help us build a strong voluntary sector in Glasgow.

Our membership programme is open to voluntary organisations, social enterprises, and community groups across Glasgow and further afield. Becoming a member not only helps us support your work but also helps us be a strong voice for the sector. While many of our services and training programmes are free, members can receive discounts on additional services and other benefits, including being part of our community.

Being a GCVS member means being part of a wider family of organisations that believe in being well-run, well-connected, and achieving more for Glasgow.

Membership is free to organisations with no paid employees, while larger organisations contribute in a tiered system. Apply online to become a member, or get in touch to discuss your needs. Already a member? Login here.

As a member, you will also be asked to confirm that you agree with the our standards, which include:

  • Following good practice in governance and management
  • Working to embed a human rights and equality-led approach
  • Taking action to minimise any negative environmental impact
  • Seeking to collaborate with others for the benefit of the city

Hear from our members.

Over the years we have had excellent support as a GCVS member from funding advice, to mentoring support, plus we get excellent deals on training.

It’s important for the community and voluntary sector to connect and collaborate with each other. GCVS helps achieve this in Glasgow – connecting organisations and offering specialised, quality support for our sector.

Amina MWRC has been a GCVS Member for a number of years. We are members of the HR Service which we find an invaluable resource for getting advice about employment and staffing issues. The service provides up to date and accurate information which we could not afford to access from an employment lawyer.

We benefit as an organisation from the networking and learning, but the ultimate beneficiary are community members who get an improved and diverse service as we have the right support and collaborations for our organisation.
