Membership is only available to voluntary sector organisations operating in the Glasgow City Region.
We define a voluntary sector organisation as a community group, voluntary organisation, charity or social enterprise that:
- Has a positive social purpose
- Is governed by a committee or Board, the majority of whom are voluntary
- Is not run for private gain and reinvest any surpluses in its purposes
- Is not part of, or controlled by, the public sector, a political party or a trade union
As a member, you will also be asked to confirm that you agree with the our standards, which include:
- Following good practice in governance and management
- Working to embed a human rights and equality-led approach
- Taking action to minimise any negative environmental impact
- Seeking to collaborate with others for the benefit of the city
- Treating staff, volunteers and service users fairly and kindly
To meet the requirement of “operating in the Glasgow City Region” your organisation must support or involve people who live in the local authorities of Glasgow, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, East Dunbartonshire and West Dunbartonshire.
Members Benefit from Glasgow’s Community Lottery
As a member, your organisation can create its own lottery using Yaldi for a fun, effective way to fundraise.
- There are no set up costs or admin fees – fill in a simple online form which we will review and then create your own customisable lottery page.
- Reporting is easy with email updates, and ticket and supporter data in your online dashboard.
- 60% of ticket sales go to good causes – 50% to your cause and 10% into a central fund.
- Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win, with a top prize of £25,000!
- Gatherwell, who run communities lotteries across the UK, offer regular marketing materials to promote the lottery, including bonus prizes.
