Make a difference in your local community.
Common Thread Vision (CTV) is a small Glasgow charity based in Pollokshields, supporting older adults, particularly women, to reduce loneliness and social isolation, maintain independence and improve wellbeing.
We are looking for enthusiastic female volunteers aged 21+ to support our friendly women’s group and help create a welcoming community environment.
Your Role
- Help set up and tidy equipment.
- Support our Lunch Group on Thursdays, 3:00 – 6:00 pm.
- Assist with serving food, activities and outings.
- Support members at community events and trips.
- Share ideas and help make activities enjoyable.
What You’ll Gain

Who We’re Looking For
- Female, aged 21+.
- Friendly, reliable and enthusiastic.
- Interested in supporting older people and community wellbeing.
- Based in Pollokshields or surrounding areas.
- Bilingual English/Punjabi or English/Urdu is desirable.
- Experience of supporting older adults or volunteering is desirable.
Skills Required
- Good communication and people skills.
- Reliability and a friendly, approachable manner.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to support older people and take part in community activities.
- Previous volunteering or experience supporting older adults is desirable but not essential.

PLEASE NOTE
This role supports a women-only group. Following feedback from our female participants, we are currently seeking female volunteers for this particular opportunity.
