Money Advice Support Worker – 32 Hours (Permanent depending on future funding.)

Working hours – 8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday

Salary £27,500

Greater Pollok CAB is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the existing team in delivering a high quality advice and representation service, to residents of Glasgow South West.

The successful candidate will:

• Have excellent organisational and communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, prioritise workloads and motivate others.
• Maintain good working procedures within the Bureau, ensuring Bureau practices and policies are adhered to.
• Ensure the quality and effectiveness of the service; assist clients through the Debt Management Arrangement process or Sequestration procedures, maintaining a debt-profiling database, provide regular reports to the Bureau Manager.
• Have experience of housing issues relating to money advice, such as dealing with mortgage arrears and mortgage-to-rent applications.
• Have experience of supervising volunteers or staff, preferably in a paid capacity.
• Be able to work on their own initiative and provide ongoing support to voluntary staff.
• Possess the ability to learn new skills and to follow existing procedures to a high level.
• Possess very good IT skills, especially word processing and databases and have the ability to produce regular reports using computer graphics.
