Voices at Work – GCIL calls for disabled people to take part

GCIL are pleased to introduce our newest project, Voices at Work.
Voices at Work is a project led by disabled people that aims to understand disabled people’s experience of employment better; what helps – and what makes it harder- to stay in work.
Together, we will co-design new ideas and solutions to make work fairer, more inclusive, and more sustainable for everyone.
We are recruiting disabled people to take part in the project. To get involved:
You must:
- Live within the Glasgow City council tax boundary
And:
- Be in paid work, or
- Have been working within the last 5 years but are not currently working
And have one of the following:
- A visual and/or hearing impairment
- Epilepsy, or
- Multiple Sclerosis
You can get involved in the project in two ways:
- As part of our core Steering Group, actively shaping the project. Our steering group will meet approximately once a month until April 2026. We will also complete activities and individual tasks between our meetings.
- As part of our wider consultation group, who will take part in a one-off workshop and/or activities.
At GCIL, we believe lived experience is expert knowledge, so everyone who takes part will be adequately paid for their valued time and contribution.
We will also ensure that everyone has support or adjustments in place to fully participate.
