Youth Justice and Youth Work Event Report

On Friday 22nd April, The Children’s Services and Glasgow Third Sector Interface Network teams at GCVS hosted a collaborative event with Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership. The focus of the event was around youth crime prevention and how Glasgow’s Youth Justice and Family Support Strategies can help to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour among young people. The event was aimed towards those with an interest in community justice, family support and youth services and saw a successful turnout, with attendees from organisations across the city.

As well as a presentation from guest speaker, Peter Orr at the HSCP, who discussed the various youth intervention programmes operating in Glasgow, attendees also heard from youth organisations, who gave an overview of their work, support and opportunities available to young people.
