What are your plans for Christmas?

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – for fundraising!
Many groups enjoy huge success from their winter fundraising campaigns and receive more donations during December than at any other time of the year. But what’s their secret? They plan well ahead.
There’s lots of options to choose from! Here are some ideas:
- send a heart-warming Christmas appeal by email;
- launch a beautiful digital giving platform;
- hold fun sponsorship events (best Christmas jumper anyone?);
- arrange a special winter celebration;
- offer cards, merchandise or gifts for sale;
- or add a festive donation button to your website or social media sites.
Include only a few fundraising methods, but aim to do them really well. Highlight the difference a donation would make for your cause and tell stories of personal change. Know how you plan to thank your supporters and help them feel valued.
Organise your winter fundraising campaigns as part of your overall fundraising plan and within the capacity of your group. It’s never too early to start planning!
