The TSI Learning Portal

Categories: General, Governance and Charity Law, HR and Health & Safety, Planning and Management, Start Up

A free resource for Scotland’s third sector workforce

The TSI Learning Portal provides essential training for those who run community groups, voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises across Scotland and does so at no or little cost. These are delivered online in interactive presentations, which you can follow at your own pace. Courses help both newcomers and experienced individuals in the ‘third’ sector, to upskill or refresh their knowledge. There are practical guides to topics like GDPR, Managing Challenging Behaviours, and Food Safety, as well as introductions to financial management and regulatory requirements.

Latest courses added include charity law, funding and governance!

Who is the Portal for?

Board trustees, committee members, and voluntary sector staff across Scotland are invited to use the portal. It also allows you to access training materials in you own time online. It’s also created by the sector, for the sector, and continues to evolve with new courses being added to meet ever-changing demands.

How does it work?

You can visit the site at tsi-learning.scot

You will need a code to access the training for free, which you can request from us by email, or find in your Account Dashboard if you’ve already signed up for our funded support! For any help, please email LMSsupport@gcvs.org.uk. You can also find more about the launch of the portal here, with tips and instructions for further support.

Taking a course is simple. Follow the instructions online and enjoy learning at your own pace. Many of our courses include interactive elements to test your knowledge before completion. And be sure to watch the short video on the home page detailing everything you need to get started!

The Robertson Trust funded the creation of the Portal to support organisations through Third Sector Interfaces (TSIs), utilising the remaining assets after Voluntary Action Scotland’s closure.
