Research Illustrating Discussions on Food Insecurity and Disabilities

This illustration is the outcome of two collaborative events, one hosted in Glasgow and the other in Nottingham.​

At the events, Dr Alanna Higgins presented on food insecurity, and Dr Jen Remnant presented on experiences of disability to representatives from the third sector. Organisations were invited to respond to the presentations and discuss what they thought should be prioritised for research in this area. Researchers took notes at these events and had a reflective discussion about the main points that were raised. Illustrator and graphic recorder, Eddy Draws, then developed the final illustration captured below. ​

While the organisations listed on the illustration are Nottingham-based, the themes and ideas across the rest of the illustration were generated at both events.​

The events were funded via three grants, including one led by GCVS and Strathclyde Business School as part of an ongoing partnership. Read more about working in collaboration with Universities here, including further resources.
