Reimagining Social Care – The Archbishops’ Commission 15 May, 3.30pm

GCVS ‘Valuing Social Care Series’ welcomes co-chair of the Archbishops’ Commission on Social Care

On 15 May GCVS will welcome colleagues from parliament, public bodies, academia and the voluntary sector to our ‘Reimagining Social Care’ event.  This event takes place online, beginning at 3.30pm.

We’ll hear from Dr. Anna Dixon, co-chair of the Reimagining Care Commission which was set up by the Archbishops’ of York and Canterbury in April 2021. The Commission reported earlier this year.  Read the full report and find out more about the Commission’s work here.

Anna will cover the main themes of the report, and consider its relevance to Scotland. She brings a unique perspective as she was also part of the Scottish review of Adult Social Care led by Derek Feeley.

There’s still time to register for this (and other events) here.

The timings for the event can be accessed here – The Archbishops Commission – agenda 15 May 2023
