Social Services and Healthcare
This SVQ award is aimed at people who are support workers. This could include working in care home services for adults or a similar role in the community. Many people working at this level are required by the SSSC to achieve this award.
Although you would still be supervised at this point, there is an expectation that you would be able to follow organisational processes without instruction.
SVQs are based on National Occupational Standards. SQA works in partnership with other organisations to ensure that National Occupational Standards (NOS) are relevant to the current and future needs of Scottish industries.
