You’re invited: Walking Our Stories
Posted: 16th July 2026
What stories live in the streets we walk every day?
Join us for a unique series of free community-led walking tours exploring Glasgow through stories of migration, belonging and community. These tours are taking place as part of the Glasgow 2026 Festival.
Created and led by Community Storytelling Leaders with personal connections to the places you’ll visit, these aren’t traditional history walks. Instead, you’ll hear lived experiences that reveal a side of Glasgow rarely found in guidebooks, inviting you to see the city through a different lens.
Whether you’ve lived in Glasgow all your life, are new to the city, or simply want to discover a different side of it, we’d love you to join us.
Two walking routes are available, each delivered on several dates during the first 2 weeks of August:
Pollokshields & Govanhill – Walking Our Stories: Tickets| Eventbrite
West End & Maryhill – Walking Our Stories: Tickets| Eventbrite
Each tour lasts around 90 minutes, is free to attend, and is limited to 15 participants, helping to create a space for conversation and reflection. Please note that, as the stories shared are based on personal lived experiences, they may touch on sensitive topics, including racism, discrimination and violence.
