Wellbeing Scotland Conference: Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences on Adult Mental Health

Wellbeing Scotland annual conference and AGM will be held on Thursday the 1st of November, from 10am – 4pm (AGM at 4.30pm) at Alloa Town Hall.

There will be a range of speakers who are specialists in the field. Kaye Hills for Clackmannanshire Council Education Department will showcase the innovative Wellbeing Workers service in schools as a preventative model of good practice. Narratives of Survivors of Historical Institutional Abuse will be presented by Moyra Hawthorn, CELCIS. Sylvie McCleary from the Integrated Mental Health Team in Forth Valley will speak about adult mental health. Brodie Paterson Clinical Director from CALM training and formerly of Stirling University will speak on Trauma. Acknowledging and responding to the proximal and the distal. Anne Macdonald Vice Convenor of the Cross Party group on Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse will speak about her groundbreaking work.
