Ricefield Board of Trustees/Directors

Ricefield Arts & Cultural Centre, a registered charity and social enterprise for the exploration and promotion of Chinese culture, has an excellent reputation for delivering original and inspiring creative experiences such as cultural events and workshops for schools, community groups, public institutions, arts audiences and the diverse communities in Scotland.

We wish to appoint additional trustees during our upcoming May 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM). We are seeking candidates with marketing/events planning/project management/arts development backgrounds, desirably with some knowledge of Chinese arts and culture, or connection to, the Chinese community in Scotland. We welcome applications from diverse backgrounds. All trustees should be able to commit to attend monthly board meeting at our office located in Glasgow city centre. In additional, we hope trustee to serve one or more sub-committee(s) and attend our annual board development day, important meetings with stakeholders and some events. As well as serving as charity trustee, the role involves serving on the board of directors as Ricefield is also a social enterprise, hence, candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge of business understanding or corporate governance.

Please note that this is a voluntary role. Neither the trustees nor directors receive any remuneration, however expenses incurred in carrying board duties will be fully reimbursed.
