New Vacancy – Funding Manager


Based in Glasgow (remote or blended office working is available)



Early Years Scotland is Scotland’s leading national Third Sector specialist organisation that supports our youngest children from birth to 5 years of age.  Established for over 50 years, we have a long and ever-growing track record in supporting Scotland’s youngest children to have the very best start in life.



We are delighted to introduce this brand new and unique role of Funding Manager at an exciting time of expansion of the early years sector across Scotland.


Working collaboratively with the EYS staff team you will have responsibility for managing and developing our funding and income generation activities including financial management, reporting directly to funders and supporting other managers with reporting.  You will have cross-organisational management responsibilities as an integral member of the management team, and you will be a vital ambassador and advocate for Early Years Scotland.


Applicants should have proven experience in management and in securing funding from diverse sources including tenders, trusts, foundations, statutory and institutional donors.  You will ideally have recent experience of a similar role with a funding organisation or not-for-profit organisation. You will be highly organised and a team player with the ability to problem solve, use financial and budget information and you will have superb communication skills.  You will be excellent at networking and building strong relationships with stakeholders and you’ll be a strong leader, be customer-focused and have a highly professional approach to your work at all times, managing deadlines and prioritising effectively.



Post details:

Full time, 35 hours per week (part-time hours will be considered)

£29,999 per annum

20 days annual leave in first year and 30 days thereafter

Excellent benefits including 5% employer pensions contribution, 12 public holidays and Employee Assistance Programme. 

Membership of PVG Scheme will be required. 

All pay and allowances are pro-rata
