Join Us as Our New Treasurer
Posted: 16th March 2026
We are a small but ambitious grassroots charity with a big heart and a growing impact. Based in Scotland, we help people of all ages build confidence, develop new skills, explore their potential and create meaningful, self‑directed life pathways. Our work is rooted in empowerment: helping individuals identify what matters to them, overcome challenges and take steps toward a future they can genuinely believe in.
Since our founding, CYD has grown organically in response to real need within our community. We support individuals facing emotional, social, educational and practical barriers, offering compassionate, person‑centred support that meets each individual where they are. Our trustees, volunteers, partners and supporters all contribute to this work, and together we are developing a trusted and valued presence locally.
As CYD enters an exciting new stage of growth, strong financial oversight and confident financial planning are essential. We are therefore seeking an experienced, values‑driven Treasurer to join our Board. You do not need prior charity finance experience — what matters most is your ability to understand financial information, think strategically, communicate clearly and provide sound advice that supports our long‑term sustainability.
As Treasurer, you will help us maintain robust financial systems, understand our financial health, make informed decisions and operate with transparency and confidence. This is an opportunity to apply your financial skills in a meaningful way, contributing directly to the future of a small charity with big ambitions.
If you care about supporting people to thrive and want to use your financial expertise to strengthen a growing organisation, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please email your CV and a few lines why you think you are a fit for CYD
