UNDERSTANDING PLAY THERAPY

 Course Description

This foundation-level 1 course introduces learners to the development, theory, and practice of Play Therapy—now recognised as one of the most effective mental‑health interventions for children aged 3–12. Participants will explore how play therapy has evolved since the late 19th century into a powerful therapeutic modality that help children express emotions, process experiences, and build regulation skills.

The course reframes child development through a modern, neuro-informed lens, helping adults understand why children behave the way they do and what they need from the adults who support them.
