Multiply Numeracy Core Skill
Developing Numeracy For the Workplace
Please Note: The Multiply training opportunity provided by GCVS is now closed. Visit our workplace qualifications page for other courses and qualifications.
Our Numeracy Core Skills course, fully funded through the Multiply Grant, allows learners to improve their practical numeracy skills for the workplace. It also provides a recognised qualification at SCQF Level 5.
Rather than concentrate on complex mathematical ideas and concepts, this course aims to develop tools that are useful in daily life. It can help widen access to the jobs market and support the hardest-to-reach learners. Numeracy is one of five core skills considered ‘key to learning and working in today’s world.’

‘Core Skills enable people to flexibly put their knowledge, skills and understanding into action, adapting them to new situations.
Core Skills apply to a wide range of contexts in education and training, in life, and work.’
What’s Involved?
This opportunity is ideal for anyone lacking Numeracy as a Core Skill. The only restriction is that applicants should be 16 or over.
The course can be taken online in one half-day session or in person either at our Glasgow Albany Centre, or at your workplace by arrangement. Regular dates are now available to complete the course at a time that suits you. Dates for any of our online sessions can be found on our Eventbrite page and by request.
If you have a group of staff or volunteers who could benefit from this course, please get in touch. We would also be happy to discuss providing a session at your workplace.
If you have any questions at all, please contact us on 0141 332 2444.
