GCVS is delighted to be able to provide the Multiply Numeracy Core Skills course, funded by the Glasgow Multiply Grant Scheme. This opportunity allows learners to improve their practical numeracy skills while gaining a recognised qualification. If you or members of your team could benefit from support with Numeracy find out more.

Our Numeracy Core Skills course, fully funded through the Multiply Grant, allows learners to improve their practical numeracy skills for the workplace. It also provides a recognised qualification at SCQF Level 5.

Rather than concentrate on complex mathematical ideas and concepts, this course aims to develop tools that are useful in daily life. It can help widen access to the jobs market and support the hardest-to-reach learners. Numeracy is one of five core skills considered ‘key to learning and working in today’s world.’

Core Skills enable people to flexibly put their knowledge, skills and understanding into action, adapting them to new situations. Core Skills apply to a wide range of contexts in education and training, in life, and work.’

What’s Involved?

This opportunity is ideal for anyone lacking Numeracy as a Core Skill. The only restriction is that applicants should be 19 or over.

The course can be taken online in one half-day session or in person either at our Glasgow Albany Centre, or at your workplace by arrangement. Regular dates are now available to complete the course at a time that suits you. Dates for any of our online sessions can be found on our Eventbrite page, or by request.

If you have a group of staff or volunteers who could benefit from this course, please get in touch, and we would be happy to discuss providing a session at your workplace.

Please apply online here, or download our Registration Form and email your completed form to multiply@gcvs.org.uk

If you have any questions at all, please contact us on 0141 332 2444.
