A Modern Apprenticeship is an opportunity that allows individuals to earn a wage while gaining an industry-recognised qualification. This approach benefits both the apprentices, who gain valuable skills and experience, and the employers, who can develop their workforce by training new staff and upskilling existing employees.
Employees Earn While They Learn.
Modern Apprenticeships combine industry standards with on-the-job experience, allowing people to work, learn, and earn simultaneously. The costs of training can also be fully funded!
According to Skills Development Scotland, the impact is easy to see, with 92% of MAs remaining in work once they’re qualified.*

Qualifications for Voluntary Sector Employees
We are delighted to provide MA opportunities in the following areas:
- Business Administration SCQF levels 5 & 6
- Community Development SCQF levels 5 & 6
- Social Services & Healthcare SCQF level 7
- Management SCQF level 7
These qualifications can be fully-funded for ages 16 – 24, and funding options may be available to those 25 and over.
Both new and existing employees can take on a Modern Apprenticeship. They are delivered individually in the workplace, allowing employees to begin at any time.
Employees also don’t need to be full-time – ideally, they are employed at least 12 hours a week. Most apprenticeships last between 6 and 12 months and are fully flexible. They are an accredited SQA qualification.
We would also be delighted to discuss help with wage costs for eligible organisations available through the Glasgow Guarantee programme.
