Our membership programme is open to voluntary organisations, social enterprises, and community groups across Glasgow who align with our values. Members play a vital role in supporting our governance, and any income generated helps us to provide services and be a strong advocate for the sector. Standard GCVS membership already includes:

Membership Plus includes our complete end-to-end payroll service, ensuring your staff get paid correctly and on time, saving you time and worry in the process.
Our experienced team delivers a high-quality service supporting third-sector organisations across Scotland. From registering with HMRC and setting up a dedicated In-Trust bank account, to processing payslips, transferring salaries, and handling all HMRC submissions, we ensure your payroll runs smoothly and efficiently.

+ HR and Health & Safety Advice Services
Membership Plus also includes our HR and H&S Advice services with comprehensive support, including:
- Access to our large library of template-style documents, policies, and guidance.
- Discounts on our per-person training prices
- Reduced rate for Occupational Health and Counselling Services from our preferred providers.
- Reduced rate for Health and Safety and First Aid training from our preferred provider.
Pricing and VAT Exemption
Membership Plus is charged quarterly (every three months) at £275 plus £40 per employee.
Membership Plus is VAT-exempt, which we think is important, as many of our members are unable to reclaim or fully reclaim VAT.
Please be aware that to be compliant with the VAT exemption we are unable to offer the discounts on HR consultancy and our Recruitment Service that are normally included in the HR Advice Service. This is because these are VATable services and we are unable to include discounts on VATable services with a VAT exempt membership.
Most organisations are better off with Membership Plus compared to accessing these services separately. There are some circumstances when this won’t be the case and our Membership Officer can talk these through with you.
