Launch of the Children, Young People and Families Intervention Fund

Last Monday (22nd June) GCVS attended a Scottish Government event introducing the new Children, Young People and Families Intervention Fund.The fund was launched by Fiona McLeod, Acting Minister for Children & Families.

The Children, Young People and Families Intervention Fund will be awarded for activities which contribute to improved outcomes for children, young people and their families through:-

  • delivery of prevention and early intervention
  • building parenting and family capacity and skills
  • contributing to positive and sustained support for children and young people to achieve their potential under the GIRFEC wellbeing indicators.

Funding will be for 1-3 years for infrastructure investment to support operation of a national organisation towards achieving core aims
core funding of an established service offered by an organisation on a national basis that can evidence ongoing contribution to improving outcomes.

The closing date for applications is 30 September 2015.  More information about the fund, guidance and forms will soon be available via a website and we will update you when we have more details.
