Glasgow Futures Employer Engagement Challenge Fund

GCVS, in partnership with the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, will shortly be submitting a bid to the Glasgow City Council Employer Engagement Challenge Fund.
A key strength of our existing partnership, developed through delivery of the Glasgow Futures Paid Work Placement programme is strong employer engagement. Bringing additional partners on board will help us deepen, extend and grow this engagement, ensuring even better outcomes for the people taking part in the programme. We are looking for partners who want to do things differently and help drive real, lasting change in employability across Glasgow.
The Challenge Fund has a focus on supporting people from ethnic minority communities and disabled people who are job-ready or in precarious employment, but who continue to face barriers to progressing and sustaining work, despite engagement with Glasgow Futures-funded services.
Building on Proven Experience
Building on the successful delivery of the Glasgow Futures Paid Work Placement programme over the past three years, this new phase is about innovation, collaboration and impact strengthening employer engagement, improving progression pathways, and closing the gaps that currently prevent people from accessing sustainable employment.
Could your organisation be a partner?
We are keen to hear from organisations that can bring one or more of the following:
- Strong or emerging employer connections that can complement and expand existing networks
- Insight into recruitment practices, workforce needs or sector-specific challenges
- Experience supporting ethnic minority communities and/or disabled people into sustainable work
- Expertise in in-work support, progression and retention
- Innovative approaches to employer engagement, brokerage or job matching
- Capacity to deliver flexible, person-centred support alongside employer-led activity
- Willingness to collaborate, share learning and strengthen a city-wide employability approach
