Scottish Government Awards Grant to GCVS to Host Digital Inclusion Alliance

The Scottish Government has awarded grant funding to Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector (GCVS) to host the newly established Digital Inclusion Alliance.

Following strong interest in the host role from across Scotland’s third and public sectors, GCVS was selected through a competitive process. The Scottish Government is pleased to confirm this award, recognising the value of GCVS’s infrastructure and networks in supporting the coordination of national digital inclusion efforts.

The Digital Inclusion Alliance (DIA) has been established to strengthen collaboration across sectors and support a strategic, joined-up approach to tackling digital exclusion in Scotland. It will act as a national convening body, bringing together organisations from the public, third and private sectors to share learning, align efforts, and promote inclusive digital policy and practice.

By hosting the DIA, GCVS will support this central point of contact and coordination, helping to ensure that the voices of communities and practitioners are reflected in national conversations. The DIA will also support the development of shared resources and approaches, helping partners to build capacity and deliver impact at scale.
