Candidates undertaking the level 3 award can choose from several optional units including –
- Promotion of opportunities for Community Development Learning
- Facilitating Community Learning for Social and Political Development and
- Supervising and Supporting Community Development Practitioners
This award is also eligible for part funding through Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS).
The SVQs in Community Development have been developed by CLD Standards Council for Scotland in partnership with SkillsActive and are intended for people working with and within different types of communities. Communities could be defined by geography or a group of people with shared interests, needs or demographic.
