New Training for Trustees

Celebrating Trustees Week 2024

Trustees’ Week, which runs from 4-8 November this year, is an opportunity to celebrate, support and thank those of you who lead our inspiring voluntary organisations. There are just under 3,000* charities across Glasgow City, with an average of 7 trustees on each board; this equates to approximately 2,100 charity trustees volunteering their time. What a fantastic number!

So, what better time is there to celebrate the launch of a series of new governance and charity law modules on the TSI Scotland Learning Portal? This set of learning modules is aimed at both new and existing trustees, covering a wide range of topics. They include:

• Starting a new charity,
• Being a responsible charity trustee, and
• Being an effective chair

These and other online modules on the TSI Learning portal give trustees the freedom to complete them in their own time. Once you have created an account on the Portal, you can access a range of learning opportunities designed to suit the needs of organisations in each area. 

You will need a code to access the training for free, which you can request from us by email or find in your GCVS Dashboard if you’ve already signed up for our funded support! If you work outside of Glasgow, please contact your local TSI for the code. Scotland’s TSI Network hosts details of these across the country; find them on the TSI Network website.
