No One Left Behind – Employment Programme

The Scottish Government have provided funding for Local Employability Partnerships to deliver intermediate employment opportunities for people 25+ experiencing Long Term Unemployment. This is defined as 12 months or more out of work and for people who would, without significant investment, struggle to secure employment.
Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector (GCVS) is seeking interest from voluntary and third-sector organisations in Glasgow who are able to create an employment opportunity with the aim of assisting people to develop skills that will enable them to enter sustainable employment.
No One Left Behind – Long Term Unemployed (LTU) Employment Programme
The LTU programme will provide 100% of the costs to employ a person aged 25 years + who has been out of work for 12 months or more for a 26 week job placement.
The funding covers:
- Minimum of 30 hours per week at Real Living Wage (currently £9.90 ph)
- Associated employer National Insurance Contributions
- Employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions
- Costs associated with induction, support and supervision and on the job training
LTU jobs:
- Must be additional- they must not replace existing vacancies
- Must not cause existing employees, apprentices or contractors to lose work or reduce their working hours
- Must offer the participant the chance to gain skills which will help them in their search for employment
- Must commence before 30th September 2022
